He is now 21 1/2" (he was at 20 3/4" last week); and his weight was 7.4 lbs (last week he was 7.0 lbs).
What that means, is he is growing and gaining weight - but he still needs to gain more weight! I will still feed him every 2 hours (during the day) but will be adding a bottle of breast milk (about 2 oz.) after each feeding. This kid is definitely not going to starve...!
We have another appointment next week to check his weight gain.
Something else that was brought up during this appointment was his blood test results. After his birth, they did the normal blood screening and 2 of the tests showed up abnormal. They called to let us know that, but they also said it was normal for the tests to be abnormal after birth. At his 2 week appointment, they ran the same blood screening. When we met with Dr. K today she informed us that this last time around, only 1 test was abnormal. This test is for Hemoglobin. She is going to refer him to a Hemoglobin specialist to check it all out. She did tell us that the abnormality was probably very minor. We will probably know more next week about our appointment date with the specialist.
