Birthday/Visitors Recap

What a fun last week we had!

Between my birthday and friends visiting - it was a whirlwind (in a good way)!

I will try to recap all the fun we have had...

Last Thursday - MY BIRTHDAY!!! 

I had taken the day off and it started out with cuddles on the couch with my littlest.

When Nik left for the airport to pick up our friends, the boys and I hit the road too...

to run errands. Not as much fun - ha!

I had a list which included: Sonic, Wal-Mart, Mendards, Walgreens, Old Navy and Carters.

We completed all our errands and made it home right after Nik and our friends.

My boys were so excited to meet and play with Maddie (she is 1).

We ate lunch at Chuy's (mexican)...

and then headed to the Clifford Play Area.

We also enjoyed crafting at Kaleidoscope!

That night we grilled hamburgers and relaxed the rest of the evening.

Friday -

The girls and kids hung out at the house that morning while the boys toured a local coffee spot.

I also had them work on a craft...look how cute!

 

 

Then we headed to a park where the boys met up with us for lunch (with Chick-Fil-A).

We spent a few hours that afternoon at the pool - which was nice, because it was so hot here!

We grilled out again that night for dinner and had lots of laughs playing 5 second rule.

 

Saturday -

The girls and kids hung out again that morning while the boys played Frisbee Golf!

Zane wanted to go swimming so bad - so he took off his clothes and "swam" in our cooler :)

That afternoon we headed to Black Bob Bay - a fun water park in Olathe 

(they have 2 water slides, a lazy river, a baby pool, a toddler pool, a regular pool and low/high diving boards) so much fun for everyone! 

As much fun as it was - it was really hot and hard to stay together since all the kids played in their different areas.

And I have no pictures - because it was too crazy and we were all over the place!

We left there exhausted and ready to cool off.

That evening after dinner the girls headed out to Fat Brain Toys and
desert at the Cheesecake Factory!

We enjoyed a fun night out, talking and catching up.

Sunday -

Sunday we enjoyed church, lunch at our favorite pizza place, naps (for some) and then we hit the mall! We wanted to do something, but we wanted to stay air conditioned - ha!

 

We all had fun exploring the mall (riding in cars, looking at toys).

We ate dinner that night and 1/2 the group went to get shaved ice

while the other 1/2 packed up and got kids to bed. 

Eric, Rebecca and Maddie headed home bright and early Monday morning.

We are so glad they came to visit and we had so much fun!
