Weekend Recap

We had so much fun this weekend!

Fun Run!

Friday morning I took off work for about an hour to watch Jaxen

run in the school’s “Crazy Sock Fun Run”!

I dropped the ball in the mom-department….

I should have bought some white socks he could decorate himself.

Instead…Nik picked up some striped socks at the last minute.

It was fine. No one cared.

But I will have to remember that for next year!

This is his class, all ready to go!

Jaxen had fun running around the school yard!

Every time they passed their ‘station’ they got to pick out a bracelet.

I think Jaxen said he got 19!

 Soccer!

Saturday morning we had soccer!

Thankfully, it was a 10am game, instead of 9am. 

9 am is a bit early when you have to travel 20 solid minutes to get there, and be there early. 

They played a really tough team and the final score was Brazil (Jaxen’s team) 2 and Spain 1.

I told Jaxen I would give him money if he made a goal - 

but poor guy didn’t really get a chance - tough team.

But he did great, and had fun playing!

Farmer’s Market!

After soccer we hit our town’s Farmer’s Market.

We had so much fun walking around, checking everything out.

They even had a kids scavenger hunt - that was fun helping Jaxen find everything!

They enjoyed listening to live music and drawing with chalk, too. 

Zoo!

Sunday morning we went to church and then decided to head to the Zoo!

We made a quick stop at QT for drinks.

While we were there, the boys and I took some pics.

Before we ever got into the zoo, we had a boo-boo.

By the time we came out of the zoo, we had 3 boo-boo’s!

I need to remember to pack band-aids next time - haha!

We had a great time exploring.

And the best thing?

We actually got a membership - so we can go as often as we want!

It was no rush to see everything, or do everything.

In fact, we only saw maybe half of the zoo before we headed home.

Zane was tuckered out...

And we were all so hungry!

We skipped lunch and just had a snack.

So it was pizza for the win after the zoo.

Zane woke up just in time to polish off his pizza before his brother did!

We had such a nice weekend, with beautiful weather (finally)!
