Easter!

To begin with, I want to show you what our forecast was for Easter Sunday...

Yuck!
This is what we got in “snow” that afternoon.

No worries though, we all stayed inside (nice and warm),
took naps, rested and ate pizza for dinner!

We did some Easter Activities on Saturday with our friends, Rusty and Diane!

We died eggs.
They actually turned out really cute!
We did a tie-die-kind in baggies and it was fun.
Nik went out the day after Easter and bought a few more coloring kits.
I’m thinking that would make a great rainy-day activity this summer.

We enjoyed a great dinner and wonderful company that night!
Oh - and look at our table….
Jaxen (I wrote) made name cards for everyone and he set the table all by himself :)

Sunday morning we were up early and made it to church.
We had a wonderful service (and witnessed 5 baptisms)!
It was especially sweet this year to talk with Jaxen about the real meaning of Easter.
The fact that Jesus died on a cross, was buried, and came back to life again…all for us!
It’s hard for him to understand some things (as it is for all of us)
but he is curious, asking questions and I’m so grateful for the opportunity
to share more about Jesus with him!

After church I made the boys take a pic with their Easter Baskets
(that were already gone through)!

I had wanted to get them rain boots for their baskets,
but ran out of time to find them.
I had hit 4 stores in search of rain boots.
So Sunday after church we trekked out to one more store…and hit the jackpot!

Here is our family selfie on Easter…
super blurry!
But that’s as good as it got.

Zane and I (and Jaxen…he’s just not pictured)
have been having fun playing with these bunny ears!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
