A Video

This morning after I fed Jaxen, I laid him down in his crib. I do this most mornings, while I get ready for work. In his crib we have this bear that plays music and talks to him. Jaxen loves it!

I could hear Jaxen this morning, 'talking' along with the bear and it was just so cute. So I tried to capture it on video for you guys.

Everyday Kind of Stuff

Here are some pics from our everyday life...

and a little glimpse into our world.

Yes, I always have a camera lying around.

No, I don't capture every single moment that I want to.

Bath.

We give him a bath about every 2 days - 

usually Saturday, Monday and Thursday. 

After-bath routine.

We dry him off (sometimes with the help of the heat lamp from the bathroom); then put on a clean diaper; comb his hair; put lotion on his eggsema; dress him in pajamas and then give lots of cuddles and kisses!

This was our 3rd attempt at shoes. It didn't last long. And that's okay with me. Why in the world are overalls soooo cute on little babies? Seriously. I would dress him in them everyday!

And here he is, laughing (not at me)!

By the way, I have this strong desire to cut my hair. And then I saw this picture and my hair was having a good day. So now I'm reconsidering. Thoughts? To cut or not to cut?

After church we hit the road with some friends and went to Inks Lake (near Austin). We had a great time. Jaxen loved being outdoors and he even went into the lake!

It was pretty fun shopping for some swimming trunks for him. And Nik could not resist the shades. I do have to say he looks pretty cool in them!

He eventually got cold and we had to bring him out. But I think he loved it! He never fussed and really liked his feet touching the bottom!

So he hung out with me the rest of the afternoon, looking all cool!

Fall 2012 Bucket List

So last year at this time, I posted a 'Fall Bucket List'. I enjoyed having my list. Then I broke my hand. And my list came to a quick stop.

I have decided to do a new list (some items are repeats of last year) - Here it is!

Hang out at a lake

Get caught up on my 2012 photo book

And that's my list. It can't be too long. I now have a kid. He takes up a lot of my time :). This list will begin September 1 and go through the end of November.

This & That

* My sister bought us this mirror-thing to put on our back seat. It allows us to see Jaxen (since he is in a rear-facing car seat). It works so well, and we love it - Thanks Jess!

* Jaxen and I. We don't have that many pictures together, so I am trying to get more. When he cooperates (see picture 2).

* Jaxen got a chance to hang out with his friend, Gabriel. Their due dates were only 1 day apart, but Jaxen came early so he is actually 2 weeks older. (Notice how Jaxen is looking at the camera...his momma has taught him well!)

* I tried a sling-thing out last week with Jaxen. I would say that it did not go over that great.

* Our babysitter has been out sick this week. So Jaxen came to work with me one day! He did great. And my work people loved seeing him!
