Friday afternoon, right after they drove into town - Kylee and I went to get pedicures. It was fabulous. My feet (and me in general) needed one! It was so relaxing. I normally would never post pics of my feet (most of you that know me - know how much I hate my feet). However - the purple nail polish makes them look great!
That evening we went out for Italian and then topped it off with some yogurt. Yum! Other than that - we just hung out. They loved Jaxen and Jaxen LOVED them!
Saturday morning breakfast - our favorite 'Migas' place:
I have some birthday money and we decided to hit the mall and go shopping! We only made it to two stores, but we found some great deals. Before we left the mall, Kylee and I went to the restroom - so we left the boys with the baby and our shopping bags. It was pretty funny, seeing these two...so I, of course, had to take a picture!
That night we stayed in and ordered pizza and watched a movie. We were all craving dessert, so I made some brownies, which we topped off with chocolate ice cream and chocolate milk!
Sunday, our church had a big 4th of July picnic out in the country. I love our 4th of July picnic! They smoke brisket and sausage and then everyone brings sides and dessert. Everyone brings thier own lawn chairs and drinks. And there is a creek for the kids to play in. Usually some kind of game happens after everyone eats. This year, it was ultimate frisbee. I was having too much fun relaxing and talking to everyone to take any pics - but we did snap a couple before we left for the picnic.
Here is Jaxen in his patriotic onsie:
Here is Jaxen and I:
Thank you, Chris and Kylee for coming to see us and for taking such good care of Jaxen this weekend - I know he loved you both! Come back anytime!
These are lovely! You're looking fantastic mama!
ReplyDeleteI think that the color of polish really compliments your feet! But I can never look at them without remembering that one night in the hotel when we compared everyone's feet. That was so funny! Glad you got some quality time with your friends. -Most often it is the best birthday gift-.
