We have had a few updates on our house since I last showed you…
where, I believe it was a construction mess! Now - it is livable :)
We still have lots of things we want to do…some small and some big.
But for now - we are living as is, saving some money and making a to-do/priority list.
But here is what parts of our house currently look like…
Dining Room:
The Before - I don’t have any pictures of just the Dining Room before.
The picture below shows there was carpet, which was carried into the dining room.
Current - all we have done is replace the flooring.
We have to finish baseboards, put something up over the window
and I would love to add a fresh coat of paint!
Oh - and I have my eye out for a buffet (that will go on the wall to the right, opposite of the window).
Kitchen:
The Before
Current
Eventually we would love to re-do this whole kitchen…but for now...
I have to touch up painting above the cabinets (hopefully this week),
touch up paint on the actual cabinets, get new light fixtures,
figure out what to cover the yellow tile back splash up with, change out the curtains,
get some rugs and order the island/stools we have picked out.
(The table and chairs will move to our extra/craft room upstairs).
Living Room:
The Before / Current
Nik has to finish one strip of the flooring, purchase vent covers, baseboards,
crown molding, put a fresh coat of paint on the built-ins,
hide the tv wires, buy a coffee table, rug, curtains and/or blinds for the windows,
and add a few pieces of furniture and stuff to the walls and built-ins.
Foyer:
The Before
Current
Nik has to lay new flooring (same as rest of the house), I have to finish a bit of painting,
we need to figure out what to do for the stairs, lower and/or replace a fan (not shown) and
eventually replace the chunky white railing for a new metal railing.
And that’s our updates!
The "current” pictures look a little rough - most were taken at night and the things we have
left to do are the things that will really “finish” the space!
But we are still loving and are so thankful for our new home!
