Summer Plan

This summer I have made a “Summer Plan”!

MAKE IT MONDAY

Make cards 

(and mail/hand out to people)

Make flashcards 

(of Jaxen’s sight words from K - then we can review them all summer)

Make a book 

(I want Jaxen to be the author and illustrator of it)

Make bookmarks

(currently, his favorite thing to make - but I bought new paper and stickers to help)

Make a t-shirt

(I bought white t-shirts and fabric “spray paint” that both boys, hopefully, can use)

Make shadow art

(tracing the outline of their animals, by using the sun to create shadows)

TAKE A TRIP TUESDAY
Zoo
(we have a membership!!!)
Picnic
(pack a picnic and go to the park)
Park
(try out a new park)
Movie
(go see a matinee)
FarmStead
(visit the animals)
Science City
(Jaxen has wanted to explore this area forever!)
Kaleidoscope
(a free art place in the Hallmark Museum)
Cosmic Jump
(a fun jumping place)
Garden
(go see a local garden)

WATER WEDNESDAY

Water Station

(with cups, pitchers, bowls and food coloring - outside on the porch)

Splash Pad/Spray Parks

(go find some in the area for them to play at)

Pool Toys

(surprise them one day with new pool toys to use at the pool)

Water Gun Fights

(let them go to town, with Nik, having a water gun fight)

Glow-in-the-dark-Bath

(turn the light off in the bathroom and put glow sticks in their bath)

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY

Pass out flowers

(go buy a bouquet of flowers and pass them out to people)
Hold the Door
(go somewhere busy and hold the door for people)
Carry Groceries
(go to a grocery store and help people carry groceries to their car)
Pick up Trash
(go on the trail behind our house and pick up trash)
Thank you Notes
(deliver thank you notes to people)
Play with someone new
(go to a park and ask a kid you don’t know if they want to play with you)
Deliver Cookies
(bake and deliver cookies to someone)

FOODIE FRIDAY
every Friday make something fun in the kitchen with dad!
Smoothies
Pizza
Cookies
Bread
Jello w/ Worms

And that’s our summer plan!

Nothing is set in stone…this is just a “guide” to try to do some fun things this summer.
There is not an activity for every day of the summer -
some activities can be done more than once,
and of course, there are always new activities that come up!

We have already done a few…I’ll try to give an update soon.
