We signed Jaxen up for the city basketball league this winter!
He had a few practices before Christmas….
And his first game was this past Saturday!
It was so fun!
And funny :)
Some of the kids had a hard time understanding the concept of the game -
especially the switching sides after halftime and which team had control of the ball.
And some of the kids have played before…you can tell.
Jaxen falls with the first group.
A little confused :)
There were a lot of moments he was “teacher” on court - telling everyone what to do.
Or getting his team in a huddle (in the middle of the court) after each quarter.
There was some spacy-ness going on towards the end of the game.
At one time, he started break-dancing,
and also gave some hugs to other players during the game.
However…
When he was given the ball, he dribbled the best he could, and made a good pass!
He cheered on his team (and the other, when they made a basket)!
He never got upset and had a smile on his face the whole time!
He had the best time :)
And I’m excited for the season to continue.
He has already improved since the first practice and I can’t wait to watch him grow.
Now…for some pics…
Jaxen is in the yellow strip-shorts, and navy blue #1 jersey.
Zane loved cheering on his brother!
He had the best time clapping and yelling.
Here is a very short video of him:
We are looking forward to the rest of the season!
