Zane - 8 weeks

Monday, Baby Zane turned 8 weeks old! 

I was just telling Nik that 8 weeks is a cute age :)

I mean…look at this face!

He is a handsome fellow. 

And the top two questions I get right now are 

1. How much does he weight? 2. Is he sleeping through the night?

Weighing him at home - I am getting that he weighs around 13 pounds.

And he is sleeping for longer periods of time at night!

This really varies, but in the last few days he has gone between 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 hours each night!

Which is much better than 2 1/2 and 3 1/2!

So we are all pretty happy there!

During the day I am feeding him every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

And he is staying awake longer in between feedings during the day 

(and will even stay awake between a feeding or two)

 but still naps really well a few times a day. 

It has been hard to get him and Jaxen to nap at the same time right now

because most of my errand running is happening in the morning.

Which means, Zane is in the car and sleeps all morning,

and then chooses to have lots of awake time or cat naps in the afternoon!

But at least I’m sleeping a bit more at night - so I’m not requiring a nap most afternoons.

Currently, Zane is still sleeping in our room.

That will change once we get moved.

I plan on transitioning him to his crib next week, once we are all settled.

Jaxen still loves Zane.

There have not been any signs of jealously yet…

Which I’m so thankful for!

But Jaxen has been acting out a lot lately.

I’m assuming it’s all the change that is happening right now.

I cannot wait to get back to a new normal and get Jaxen on a regular schedule!

Jaxen still loves his cuddle time with Mommy and Baby Zane!
