A Year Ago Today - January 19, 2010

One year ago, today, the Sanctuary and offices of First Baptist Church of Temple, TX (my workplace) were destroyed by fire.

This fire was intentionally set by an individual and to-date, no one has been caught for the crime. Other buildings of the church were damaged because of smoke and flooding.

The church office moved across the street to an empty building that was for rent, and we started work again - from scratch. My job is going well - lots of changes over the past year, but thankfully I'm pretty good at being flexible! The church is good - They have started a 3rd worship service west of town where they will build a new church in the coming years. Over the past year, we have seen God's hand at work in this church, their ministries, and in the Temple community (who gave a great outpouring of support, love and prayers).
